With my passion for textiles and my teaching skills it’s only natural that I’m keen to share my ideas and encourage others to develop their own creativity. My classes aim to a variety of techniques in a relaxed, sociable ambience - a chance to challenge you and your friends to create something lovely in the company of like-minded people whilst enjoying some quality personal time away from the pressures of everyday life.
I run workshops for patchwork, quilting and embroidery guilds, crafting circles and community groups around the country, plus private classes for smaller groups of friends and even one-to-one tuition. I am a regular tutor at the Festival of Quilts at NEC in Birmingham and also the British Quilt & Stitch Village at Uttoxeter.
Classes can be tailored to your group’s requirements whether you’d like to learn a specific technique or are simply looking for a fun new project. All skill levels are catered for, from beginners upwards; all that is required is enthusiasm plus a desire to create and to learn something new. Full tuition is provided plus advice on how to adapt the skills learnt to other projects.
Bookings for classes are made on a day/half day basis and are charged at a day/half day rate plus travel expenses. Materials can be provided at an extra cost per person, along with a requirements list for those wishing to use their own. Talks, presentations and demonstrations are also available.
