Welcome to Crazy Mary Crafts!

Mary Taylor, textile artist and teacher

I aim to inspire and enable adults and young people to develop their creative potential through group classes, residential retreats, school visits, art and craft events and local community projects.
I am a fully qualified, experienced classroom teacher based in the Midlands, with a passion for textile-related crafts. I possess a BEd(Honours) teaching degree, plus City & Guilds Certificates in Creative Embroidery and Preparing Working Designs. I have Enhanced D.B.S. Disclosure status and hold Public Liability Insurance.
Crazy Mary Crafts encourages personal development and community links and has a lively, welcoming ethos. I want adults and children alike to explore their own creativity in a relaxed and sociable atmosphere, to learn new skills with a definite ‘fun’ element and to create something of which they can be proud. All Crazy Mary ‘students’, whatever their age, skill level or background, should go home with a smile on their face and a new talent to share…
