Welcome to Crazy Mary Crafts

Crazy Mary Crafts specialises in textile arts and crafts. I aim to inspire and enable people to develop their creative potential through workshops, school visits, craft fairs and local community-based projects.

I also create quirky colourful stitched gifts (such as baby quilts, wall-hangings and pictures) which are available to purchase on a commission basis, plus a range of individually designed wedding stationery, greetings cards and invitations.

I am a fully qualified, experienced classroom teacher based in the Midlands, with a passion for textiles. I am skilled in a range of crafts, including creative hand and machine embroidery, felt and paper making, patchwork, quilting, beading and a variety of mixed media techniques. I possess a BEd(Honours) teaching degree, plus City & Guilds Certificates in Creative Embroidery and Preparing Working Designs. I am a member of the Embroiderers’ Guild, have Enhanced C.R.B. Disclosure status and hold Public Liability Insurance.

Crazy Mary Crafts encourages personal development and community links and has a lively, welcoming ethos. I want adults and children alike to explore their own creativity in a relaxed and sociable atmosphere and to learn new skills with a definite ‘fun’ element.
